Whether it's a morning coffee before setting off or a hot meal after a day in the saddle, or a full English on the rally field the morning after, a compact camping stove can quickly become one of the most-used items in your luggage.
For most festival weekends, the ability to boil water quickly is all you'll need, but some stoves also give you enough control to cook proper meals.
What to Look For
Integrated or Separate?
Integrated systems such as the Jetboil range are incredibly quick and efficient, making them ideal for tea, coffee and simple meals.
Separate burners like the MSR PocketRocket give you more flexibility if you already own camping cookware.
Fuel
Most of these stoves use standard screw-thread gas canisters, which are widely available from outdoor shops and many camping retailers. If you're travelling abroad, it's worth checking availability before you set off.
