Whether you're thinking about taking your CBT, returning to riding after a break, or looking to build Off Road or Track skills, this month's Women On 2 Wheels is dedicated to one of the most important subjects of all...

Motorcycle training.

For many women, choosing the right training school can feel surprisingly difficult. Every school promises friendly instructors, quality training and high pass rates—but what really matters when you're trusting someone to help you become a safe, confident rider?

That's exactly what we'll be exploring.

Learning from the experts

We talked to some fantastic people who are helping to shape motorcycle training today.

We hear from Laura Smith about why great training isn't just about passing your test, and what you should look for to ensure a good training experience .

We' also feature Claire Jones from Motorcycle Mindset Mastery, exploring how mindset, confidence and managing nerves can transform your riding experience.

Choosing the right training school

We have collated practical advice to help you understand what good motorcycle training really looks like, covering questions such as:

  • What should you ask before booking?

  • What makes one training school different from another?

  • What facilities should you expect?

  • How can you tell whether a school will suit your learning style?

  • What support should be available after you've passed?

Our aim is to help you choose a school that doesn't simply help you pass a test—but helps you become the rider you want to be.

A new nationwide training hub

We're also launching one of the biggest projects we've worked on so far.

We are building a comprehensive UK motorcycle training directory, bringing together schools from across the country.

Each school will have the opportunity to verify its own information and tell us more about its instructors, facilities, courses and—something particularly important to us—what they're doing to encourage and support women riders.

And we'd love your help...

This directory isn't just something we're creating.

It's something we're building with the Women On 2 Wheels community.

We'll be inviting readers to become our local eyes and ears—visiting training schools, talking to instructors, checking information, sharing experiences and helping us create the most trusted motorcycle training directory in the UK for women riders.

Rather than relying on marketing claims, we'll be combining verified information from schools with feedback from women who know their local riding community.

Together, we can build a resource that will help thousands of future riders make informed choices.
