Jurby Track Days – The Most Fun You Can Have on Two Wheels!

If you’ve ever wanted to ride on a race circuit but assumed track days weren’t for you, Jurby Track Days on the Isle of Man might change your mind. Run by the VMCC, these popular motorcycle track days offer a safe, welcoming and supportive way to enjoy your bike away from the hazards of normal roads.

Open to anyone with a full motorcycle licence riding a bike that is more than 25 years old, VMCC Jurby Track Days are a brilliant opportunity for both experienced riders and complete beginners to track riding. At around £65 for the day, they also offer excellent value, with three 18-minute sessions on the Jurby circuit.

If you’ve ever fancied riding on a race circuit but thought it wasn’t for you, think again! The VMCC Jurby Track Days on the Isle of Man are a fantastic way to experience your bike in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.

The track days are open to anyone with a full motorcycle licence riding a bike that’s over 25 years old. At around £65 for the day, they’re incredible value, with three 18-minute sessions on the Jurby circuit. Whether you’re an experienced rider or completely new to track riding, everyone is made to feel welcome.

What surprised me most was how supportive everyone was. There’s no pressure and no egos – just fellow bikers encouraging each other, sharing advice and celebrating each other’s progress. It’s a brilliant way to meet like-minded people and make new friends.

I’ve only done two track days so far – my first in March and my second in July – and I came away absolutely buzzing after both. I was amazed by how much I’d improved in such a short time. It gave me so much more confidence in both my riding and my bike that I’ve already booked another one in September.

Another bonus is that photographers are usually there throughout the day, so you often come away with some fantastic action shots. Let’s be honest, we all love seeing photos of ourselves on our bikes!

For me, it’s all about stepping outside your comfort zone and trying something different. Riding on track lets you improve your skills without the hazards of normal roads, and it’s probably the most fun you can have on a motorcycle in such a safe environment.

If you’ve ever thought about giving it a go, I’d say do it. You might just surprise yourself – and like me, you’ll probably leave with a huge smile on your face and be counting down the days until the next one.
