Why we recommend them
The Oxford Armourlite AA Jeans earned their place on our Women on 2 Wheels Recommended list because they successfully combine many of the features women riders tell us matter most:
AA CE protection in a lightweight single-layer jean.
A flattering women's fit with consistently positive rider feedback.
UK sizes 6–22.
Genuine Short, Regular and Long leg lengths.
Comfortable stretch denim that works both on and off the bike.
Excellent value for the level of protection offered.
Oxford has been producing motorcycle clothing for decades and is one of the UK's best-known motorcycle brands.
Unlike MotoGirl, Oxford designs gear for both men and women, but the Armourlite range stands out because it offers one of the few women's riding jeans that combines AA protection, genuine short, regular and long leg lengths, and a flattering everyday fit.
Oxford Armourlite AA Jeans consistently receive positive feedback from women riders looking for a traditional riding jean rather than a legging.

Sizing & Fit
The Oxford Armourlite AA Jeans are available in UK sizes 6–22.
Most riders describe the sizing as accurate, although women between sizes often recommend choosing the larger size if you prefer a little more room through the hips and thighs.
They are available with Short (28"), Regular (30") and Long (32") leg lengths.
For many women, this immediately solves one of the biggest frustrations when buying motorcycle jeans. Rather than simply shortening the leg, the shorter versions are proportioned to improve the placement of the knee armour, making them a much better option for petite riders.
The jeans have a modern slim fit without being overly restrictive. The stretch denim allows enough movement for riding while still looking and feeling like an ordinary pair of jeans when you're off the bike. The knee armour is height adjustable, allowing you to fine-tune the fit for your riding position.
Curves – Waist, Hips & Thighs
One of the reasons these jeans feature so often in recommendations is that they strike a good balance between comfort and shape.
The high-rise waistband helps reduce the gap that many women experience between their jacket and trousers while riding, and the stretch denim accommodates movement without feeling baggy after a day's riding.
Women with curves generally report an excellent fit, with enough flexibility through the hips and thighs to remain comfortable on longer rides. Those with a very pronounced waist-to-hip ratio may find they don't offer quite the same level of adjustment as trousers such as the MotoGirl Sherrie or Valerie, but feedback from women riders is consistently positive.
Unlike many riding jeans, they also retain their shape well after repeated wear and don't tend to become excessively loose throughout the day.
Safety
The Oxford Armourlite AA Jeans achieve AA CE certification, offering a reassuring step up in abrasion protection compared with many riding leggings and Class A jeans.
They come fitted with CE Level 2 knee protectors as standard, with adjustable knee armour pockets to help achieve the correct riding position. Hip armour pockets are included, although hip protectors may need to be purchased separately depending on the retailer and specification.
The single-layer Armourlite construction helps keep the jeans lighter and more comfortable than traditional lined riding jeans while maintaining an excellent balance between protection, flexibility and everyday wearability.
